The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced record-breaking prize money for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League, confirming that PSL 11 will feature the highest financial rewards in the tournament’s history. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi revealed that the champion team will receive $500,000, while the runner-up will be awarded $300,000. Additionally, a dedicated $200,000 prize has been introduced for the franchise that demonstrates outstanding performance in cricket development, reflecting the board’s focus on nurturing emerging talent and strengthening grassroots initiatives.

Mohsin Naqvi stated that the enhanced prize pool highlights the league’s rapid growth, increasing commercial value, and rising global recognition. He emphasized that PSL 11 aims to elevate Pakistan cricket further by attracting top-tier talent and delivering a more competitive tournament experience.

In a major development, PSL 11 will expand to eight teams for the first time, marking a historic milestone for the league. The auction for two new franchises is scheduled for January 6, 2026, with several major cities shortlisted, including Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Sialkot, Gilgit, and Muzaffarabad. This expansion is expected to broaden regional representation, strengthen the league’s fan base, and boost economic opportunities within Pakistan’s cricket ecosystem.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer noted that the Pakistan Super League has evolved into a world-class T20 competition, consistently growing in international appeal, competitiveness, and commercial success. With increased prize money, new franchises, and strong global interest, PSL 11 is positioned to become one of the most impactful seasons in the league’s history.
