The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved Rs. 30 million under the Annual Development Programme for the construction of a sports complex in Karak district. District Sports Officer Tanveer shared the allocation during a briefing with Deputy Commissioner Asad Sarwar at the proposed project site on Tuesday. During the site inspection, the deputy commissioner emphasized the inclusion of an access road from the Indus Highway in the project plan to ensure smooth connectivity. The total estimated cost of the sports complex is Rs. 657.169 million, with land acquisition costs alone exceeding Rs. 186.879 million, which will soon be transferred to the land acquisition collector in Karak. Officials discussed land availability, legal requirements, and the next steps for the project during the briefing. The deputy commissioner noted that the sports complex will provide improved facilities and greater opportunities for the youth of Karak, contributing to the development of sports in the district.
