Pakistan football captain Abdullah Iqbal is attracting renewed international interest, with multiple clubs reportedly vying for the 23-year-old center-back. Swedish side Mjällby has received a multi-million offer from Turkish top-flight team Kasimpasa, while MLS club Columbus Crew is also reportedly monitoring Iqbal’s situation for a potential transfer.

The defender’s standout season in Sweden has highlighted his reliability and defensive skills, drawing attention from European teams. Earlier reports linked him with Hungarian champions Ferencváros and Belgian side KAA Gent, while Azerbaijani giants Qarabag FK have shown active interest and were preparing an offer to sign him from Mjällby. A move to Qarabag could provide Iqbal with exposure to European competitions and a higher-profile platform beyond domestic leagues.

Iqbal joined Mjällby in 2024 from Danish club B.93 and played a key role in the team’s title-winning campaign. His performances have reportedly increased his market value to around €2 million, with expectations of further growth if he moves to a club competing regularly in European fixtures.
