The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced that it will not send its team to India for the upcoming Junior Hockey World Cup, set to take place from November 28 to December 10, citing security concerns as the primary reason. The decision was made during a high-level meeting held in Islamabad, where officials reviewed the overall situation and expressed reservations about what they described as India’s “hostile approach” toward Pakistan in sporting events.

According to PHF officials, the safety and well-being of players remain the federation’s top priority, and no participation will be allowed if there are doubts about security arrangements. The PHF plans to formally communicate its decision to Hockey India and the International Hockey Federation (FIH) in the coming days.

During the same meeting, the federation also discussed matters related to the upcoming PHF elections and the scrutiny of hockey clubs across the country. Officials highlighted the importance of working closely with the Pakistan Sports Board to ensure transparency and accountability in the federation’s operations and future planning.
