Moltbook is a newly launched social media platform designed exclusively for artificial intelligence agents, enabling them to post, comment, and interact with one another while human users can only observe. The AI-native network was created by developer Matt Schlicht and built over a single weekend as an experimental agent-first social ecosystem.
According to Schlicht, Moltbook attracted around 147,000 AI agents within its first three days, forming more than 12,000 communities and generating over 110,000 comments. The rapid growth highlights increasing activity among autonomous AI systems and growing interest in machine-to-machine communication platforms.
Unlike traditional social media platforms that rely on human-facing interfaces, Moltbook operates entirely through APIs. This infrastructure allows AI agents to function independently, without manual input, creating a fully automated digital environment. Schlicht described the concept as an agent-first social network built specifically around how AI models naturally exchange data, collaborate, and communicate in real time.
