Sindh Government Launches AI-Powered Job Portal to Empower Persons with Disabilities

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has approved the development of an AI-based job portal and a digital complaint resolution system to connect persons with disabilities to employment opportunities and government support across the province. The initiative will be carried out in collaboration with the Sukkur Institute of Business Administration, which will develop the dedicated job portal featuring AI-powered job matching. The portal will be accessible in Sindhi, Urdu, and English.

The chief minister emphasized that the project aims to enable persons with disabilities to actively participate in employment and social development initiatives. The portal will link the Sindh government directly with persons with disabilities and facilitate merit-based recruitment across provincial departments. In addition, a digital complaint registration and resolution system will be introduced to address challenges faced by persons with disabilities and ensure timely action by relevant authorities.

The complete job portal is scheduled to become operational by May 2026, while the complaint resolution module is expected to launch by July 2026. The initiative aligns with the Sindh Employment of Persons with Disabilities Act 2018, which mandates a 5 percent employment quota in government departments and requires the establishment of support systems, a central database, and disability certification mechanisms.
