Samsung TV users will soon be able to access Google Photos directly on their TVs, eliminating the need to cast content from a phone or sideload the app. The company announced that a dedicated Google Photos app will be available on Samsung smart TVs starting in 2026.

The initial release will showcase curated photos and videos through the Memories feature, which will remain exclusive to Samsung devices for the first six months. Users will simply need to sign in with their Google accounts to display their photos and videos on the large screen.

Samsung also plans to incorporate AI-powered enhancements. This includes templates powered by Google’s image generation model, Nano Banana, and a Remix feature that lets users transform existing photos into new artistic styles.

Shimrit Ben-Yair, Vice President of Google Photos and Google One, highlighted that the app aims to help people organize and relive their memories. The integration with Samsung TVs will allow users to enjoy their favorite photos on a bigger screen while exploring creative ways to interact with their content.
