China Southern Airlines is set to enhance air connectivity between Pakistan and China by increasing the frequency of its Guangzhou–Lahore flights. Starting January 1, the airline will operate daily services on this route using an Airbus A330, up from the current five weekly flights with a Boeing 787. The move is expected to boost passenger capacity and improve travel options for business professionals, students, and tourists, while also strengthening trade and people-to-people links between the two countries.

In parallel, Pakistan’s air links with Sri Lanka are also expanding. Sri Lankan low-cost carrier FitsAir will begin twice-weekly flights between Colombo and Lahore from January 20, operating every Tuesday and Saturday with an Airbus A320. These new services aim to provide greater convenience for travelers, promote tourism, and support bilateral trade between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
