Oman has launched a new cultural visa to attract talented individuals from around the world working in arts, heritage, literature, and other creative fields. This initiative is designed to simplify the process for international professionals to visit Oman, engage in cultural activities, and contribute to the nation’s growing creative landscape.

The visa provides a straightforward pathway for foreigners to participate in cultural programs, artistic events, and collaborative projects with Omani institutions such as cultural ministries, universities, art centers, and research organizations. Applicants can stay in Oman for a specified period while taking part in approved cultural work, including workshops, creative training, artistic research, literary exchanges, and heritage-related programs.

Individuals attending exhibitions, book fairs, conferences, or cultural festivals in Oman can also benefit from the visa. Family members, including spouses, children, and parents, are eligible to apply for a joining visa to accompany the primary visitor.

The visa fee varies based on the chosen duration, with a one-year visa priced at 50 Omani Riyals. Longer-term options of five and ten years are available, with an annual fee of 50 Omani Riyals, providing flexibility for those who plan frequent visits for cultural purposes.

Authorities emphasize that this cultural visa is a significant step in promoting knowledge-sharing, strengthening Oman’s cultural identity, and fostering creative exchange. By facilitating access for experts, artists, and researchers, Oman aims to support the growth of its cultural sector and enhance its reputation as a welcoming hub for cultural tourism and international collaboration.
