Pakistan Adds Germany to Dual Nationality List, Allowing Pakistanis to Hold Both Citizenships

Pakistan has officially included Germany among its dual nationality partner countries, allowing Pakistanis residing in Germany to keep their Pakistani citizenship while obtaining German nationality. The development enables members of the Pakistani diaspora to enjoy the rights and benefits of both countries without renouncing their original nationality.

According to an announcement by the Embassy of Pakistan in Berlin, Pakistani-origin residents who apply for German citizenship will no longer be required to surrender their Pakistani nationality, marking a significant step in facilitating legal status, mobility, and long-term settlement for Pakistanis living in Germany.
