Pakistan Launches Online Passport Fee Payment System for Faster and Easier Processing

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has introduced a new digital payment system that allows Pakistani citizens to pay their passport fees online in just one minute, removing the need to stand in long queues at National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) branches.

The new system can be accessed through the Passport Fee Asaan mobile app or the Paymaster.com.pk web portal, offering a faster, simpler, and more convenient process for passport applicants across the country. This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance public services through digital transformation and reduce manual processes.

To pay online, applicants first need to generate a Payment Slip ID (PSID) using the Passport Fee Asaan app — available for both Android and iOS devices — or by visiting the Paymaster website. Once the PSID is created, users can complete their payment through internet banking, ATMs, Easypaisa, or JazzCash. They simply need to choose the 1Bill option and enter 999999 followed by their PSID number.

After the online payment is confirmed, applicants can proceed to their nearest passport office to finalize the application process without waiting in bank lines or dealing with manual deposit slips.

This online payment initiative marks a major step toward modernizing Pakistan’s passport services, making them more efficient, user-friendly, and accessible from anywhere at any time.
