The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced that electricity supply will be suspended in several areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal on Wednesday, November 4, as part of its annual system maintenance programme.

According to the shutdown schedule shared by the utility, most outages will run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The work covers maintenance of 11kV feeders, construction and development activity, and servicing of power transformers at grid stations. In Attock and Chakwal, some feeders tied to construction and development work will be switched off earlier, from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. No maintenance on 132kV transmission lines is planned for the day.

In Islamabad, affected areas include Bara Kahu, Murree, Jhika Gali, Bani Gala, Tarlai and Nilore, along with sectors D-12, E-11, F-6, F-8, G-6, G-8, G-9, G-10, G-13, I-9 and I-10. Feeders linked to the 132kV D-12 grid station will also be shut down so that transformer T-2 can be serviced.

In Rawalpindi, the outages will affect feeders in the City, Satellite Town and Westridge divisions, as well as the Cantt, Mandra, Rawat and Tariqabad divisions. In Attock, supply will be interrupted in the Attock, Pindigheb and Taxila divisions, including Wah Cantt, Hassan Abdal and Fateh Jang, with five Taxila division feeders going off from 7:00 AM.

Jhelum will see shutdowns in the Gujar Khan, Jhelum-I and Jhelum-II divisions, while Chakwal will be affected across the Chakwal, Dhudial, Pind Dadan Khan and Talagang divisions, with construction-related feeders going off from 7:00 AM.

IESCO said similar maintenance work disrupted power across the region on November 3 and that such activity is carried out daily under its annual maintenance plan. Residents in the affected areas are advised to plan around the scheduled outages.
