The Sindh Bureau of Statistics (SBoS) has announced 175 short-term field positions across all 30 districts of the province as part of preparations for the Sindh Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (SMICS) 2026-27. The recruitment drive, run under the Planning and Development Department, is open to both male and female candidates with intermediate qualifications.

According to the official advertisement, the bureau is hiring 140 female Enumerator/Measurers and 35 male Enumerators. Both categories require at least an Intermediate or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution, and applicants must be between 21 and 40 years of age. General age relaxation will apply in line with government rules.

Candidates are also expected to have at least one year of post-qualification experience in field surveys linked to maternal and child health. Relevant work may include surveys covering antenatal care, postnatal care, and child immunization, the advertisement states.

Applications must be submitted online through SIBA Testing Services (STS) by November 20, 2026. Interested candidates should review the eligibility criteria in the official advertisement before applying.

The SMICS is a large-scale data collection exercise designed to produce district-level estimates on health, education and related social indicators. Hiring field staff across every district is a key step toward ensuring the survey reaches both urban and rural households.

The openings offer short-term employment for intermediate-qualified candidates in Sindh and reflect the provincial government's reliance on survey-based data for planning and policy decisions. Applicants are advised to complete the online process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
