Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Orders Immediate Relocation of Students From Unsafe School Buildings
The KP Elementary and Secondary Education Department has directed District Education Officers to move students out of dilapidated school buildings and unsafe sections, arranging alternative classrooms to keep education uninterrupted.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department has ordered the immediate relocation of students studying in dilapidated and dangerous school buildings and in unsafe sections of otherwise usable schools, directing all District Education Officers to move affected students to secure classrooms without delay.
Under the instructions, students will be accommodated either in safe sections of the same school or in nearby government schools. Where government facilities are not available, the department has permitted the arrangement of rented buildings so that students' education continues without disruption.
The department clarified that only the unsafe portions and rooms of buildings declared dangerous will be vacated and sealed, rather than requiring the evacuation of entire premises. This approach is intended to minimise disruption while removing students from structures posing a risk to their safety.
According to the letter issued to District Education Officers, the dangerous buildings and unsafe sections were identified by the Communication and Works Department together with technical experts. The findings form the basis for the relocation orders now being implemented at the district level.
All District Education Officers have been directed to take immediate measures to ensure student safety and to complete alternative arrangements promptly, so that no student's schooling is interrupted as a result of the relocations.
