CDA Appoints Three Retired Brigadiers to Senior Director General Posts
The Capital Development Authority has placed three retired brigadiers in charge of civic management, planning and development, and land and estate affairs through a special hiring process, with the postings taking effect immediately.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has appointed three retired brigadiers to senior administrative roles, assigning them to head its civic management, planning and development, and land and estate functions. The appointments were approved by the CDA chairman and formalised through separate office orders issued by the authority's Human Resource Development Directorate.
According to the notifications, the officers have been posted as Directors General in Basic Scale 20. Their assignments took effect immediately and will remain in place until further orders. The three were brought in through a special recruitment process aimed at placing retired military officers within the authority's administrative structure.
Brigadier (Retired) Muhammad Javed Iqbal has been named Director General Civic Management. He had previously been awaiting a posting and will now oversee the affairs of the Civic Management Directorate. Brigadier (Retired) Rashid Manzoor has been assigned as Director General Planning and Development, with responsibility for planning and development matters across the CDA.
Brigadier (Retired) Muhammad Azhar Khan takes over as Director General Land and Estate Management and will oversee the authority's land and estate affairs following his transfer to the new position. Each appointment was issued through an individual notification by the HRD Directorate.
The HRD Directorate has directed the officers to submit their charge assumption reports to complete the formal process for their postings. The move places retired military officers in key administrative positions at the capital's development authority, which handles civic services, urban planning and land management in Islamabad.
