‘Kill Them’: Air Chief Leads Pakistan Air Force in Fight Against Indian Jets

May 13, 2025 – ISLAMABAD – During a big air battle on May 7, Pakistan Air Force Chief Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu took direct control and spoke to pilots over the radio. He told the pilots of the 15 Squadron, “Kill them, kill them, don’t let them enter even an inch into Pakistan.”
This happened as Pakistani pilots fought Indian jets, including Rafale and Su-30 planes. The Indian Air Force had sent about 80 planes near the Pakistan border after a terror attack in Indian-controlled Kashmir on April 22, which India blamed on Pakistan.
The Pakistan Air Force was ready and quickly sent about 40 fighters, including Chinese-made J-10 jets, to stop the Indian planes. Inside the PAF command center, officers cheered as they saw Indian jets being hit over Bithanda.
After Indian missiles hit some civilian areas in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Sheikhupura, Pakistan started a strong counterattack called “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos” or “Wall of Steel.” Pakistan targeted 26 Indian military places, including 15 airfields, but avoided civilian areas.
Air Chief Sidhu watched every mission closely from the command center. The Pakistan Air Force also used cyber and electronic warfare to disrupt Indian communications and radar.
Pakistan reported shooting down five Indian planes – three Rafales, one MiG-29, and one Su-30. The Pakistani leaders kept control to avoid the fight getting worse and watched Indian defenses until both sides agreed to a ceasefire on May 10.
This fight showed the strength and skill of the Pakistan Air Force and the power of their Chinese jets. India has not confirmed the losses. The conflict has made many countries ask both sides to calm down and talk peacefully.
