Islamabad – July 16, 2025 — The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a scheduled power shutdown for Tuesday affecting various areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi due to routine maintenance and system upgrades.

According to the official notification issued by IESCO, electricity supply will remain suspended in specific areas to ensure safety during planned maintenance activities. The temporary shutdown is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to improve the reliability and efficiency of the power supply system.

In Islamabad, areas expected to face power outages include sectors G-6, G-7, G-8, F-6, I-9, and I-10 at various intervals throughout the day. Similarly, in Rawalpindi, outages are expected in Chaklala Scheme-III, Saddar, Tench Bhatta, and surrounding neighborhoods.

IESCO stated that the shutdown will begin at 8:00 AM and may continue till 4:00 PM in some localities, though actual timings may vary depending on weather and on-ground conditions.

Consumers are advised to take precautionary measures and plan their day accordingly to avoid inconvenience. Hospitals, commercial centers, and other essential service providers in the affected zones have been informed in advance.

The company has assured that every effort will be made to complete the work within the shortest time possible to minimize disruption. IESCO further urged citizens to cooperate and avoid unnecessary power usage during this period to help stabilize the load.
