Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawaan' Creates Pre-Release Box Office History
Bollywood’s King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Jawaan” is all set to create a new record at the box office.
At the beginning of last year, Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Pathan” was released, which did a business of 1 billion rupees worldwide, and now “Jawaan,” another film of Shah Rukh Khan, is poised to break that record.
According to Indian media reports, “Jawaan,” which is releasing on September 7, has already earned 500 million rupees on its first day bookings worldwide, and it is expected to reach up to 520 million rupees.
Shah Rukh Khan’s film was released worldwide only a few hours ago, and it is reported that the film has already achieved an advance booking of 511.7 million rupees, setting a record in itself.
So, “Jawaan” has already earned more than 320 million rupees on its first day in India alone, surpassing “Pathan’s” 320 crores from January, where Shah Rukh Khan starred alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in central roles.
The film “Jawaan” has sold 391,000 advance tickets in multiplexes, making it one of the top 5 films.
In advance bookings for the first day, “Bahu Bali” sold 650,000, “Pathan” sold 556,000, “KGF Chapter 2” sold 515,000, “War” sold 410,000, and “Jawaan” sold 391,000 tickets.
Film analyst Gaurish suggests that “Jawaan” can do business of 1 billion rupees on its first day worldwide, with a revenue of 600 million rupees from releases in languages other than Hindi, mainly in India.
He further adds that the film is expected to cross the 3 billion mark in its first week of release, with Shah Rukh Khan’s daily earnings from this film being around 1 billion rupees.
“Jawaan” is set to release on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Nene Tara, Vajay Sutopthy, Sania Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and others in central roles.
