Pakistani Forces Reportedly Repel Cross-Border Attack, Kill 13 Afghan Taliban

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced on Friday that at least 13 Afghan Taliban personnel were killed and several others injured after Pakistani security forces repelled an attempted cross-border attack during the night of September 24–25 in the Gulistan sector.

According to the ministry's statement, the engagement began when Afghan forces attempted to breach the border. Pakistani security units responded, successfully thwarting the incursion and targeting Taliban-held positions in retaliation.

The ministry dismissed claims made by Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defence that Afghan forces had destroyed a Pakistani post near Spin Boldak without incurring any casualties, labeling these assertions as "false and fabricated."

Visual evidence of the incident, which has circulated widely on social media and in media reports, was also referenced by the ministry as proof of the confrontation and the Pakistani response.

The statement accused Afghan authorities of spreading misinformation regarding the incident and attempting to misrepresent Pakistan's account as propaganda.

Concluding the statement, the ministry reiterated its position that Afghanistan’s official claims do not align with the evidence from the border engagement.
