The Research Officer (Hydraulics) post carries the same civil engineering degree and PEC registration requirements.

For the Junior Seismologist and Geophysicist roles, candidates need an M.Sc. in geophysics or seismology, or a four-year honors degree in the same subjects, with at least a second division or a CGPA of 2.0 out of 4.0. Junior Geologist applicants require the equivalent qualification in geology. Assistant Director (HR&A) candidates must hold an MBA, MPA, a master's in human resource management, an MS in project management, or a relevant four-year honors degree, while the public relations role requires an M.A. in Journalism or a four-year honors degree in public relations, both with three years of professional experience.

The age limit for all posts is 21 to 33 years, and the advertised range already includes general age relaxation. Candidates from minorities, recognized tribes of tribal areas, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir are eligible for three additional years, while government and WAPDA employees with two years of continuous regular service by the closing date can receive up to 10 years of relaxation. Age will be calculated as of the last date for applications.
