iPhone 15 Pro Max Durability Test: Surprising Results Uncovered

Unearthing iPhone 15 Pro Max Durability: JerryRigEverything's Revelation

Zack Nelson, the well-known tech reviewer behind the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything, recently conducted an in-depth examination of Apple’s latest flagship offering, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, to assess its durability. As Apple’s largest and most expensive smartphone, there was considerable intrigue surrounding its ability to withstand wear and tear.

Nelson’s evaluation began with an exploration of the premium materials used in the iPhone 15 Pro Max, including the brushed titanium frame and etched glass back panel, both of which were met with admiration for their design. He proceeded to subject the device’s screen, which features Apple’s Ceramic Shield technology, to a series of scratches, and it emerged unscathed. Additionally, he tested the protective qualities of the selfie camera, which also proved to be effectively shielded by the Ceramic Shield.

However, the assessment took an unexpected turn when Nelson employed a box cutter to scrutinize the phone’s sides. To his surprise, the titanium frame was exposed, and when an attempt was made to bend the phone, it displayed an unexpected fragility, contrary to the reputation for durability typically associated with iPhones.

This led Nelson to speculate that the titanium frame might be a contributing factor to this vulnerability. To confirm this, he performed a similar test on the smaller iPhone 15 Pro, which did not exhibit the same susceptibility. In a concluding trial, Nelson exposed the iPhone 15 Pro Max to the intense heat of a blowtorch, and it demonstrated remarkable resistance to both heat and scratches.

In summary, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max exhibited outstanding resistance to scratches and heat, it revealed an unexpected weakness in terms of bending. This serves as a reminder that even the sturdiest of smartphones have their limitations in the ever-evolving realm of mobile technology.
