The United Arab Emirates has introduced a new and mandatory requirement for all visa applicants. Starting immediately, applicants for an entry permit must also submit the outer cover page of their passport along with the standard documents.
The update was first reported by Khaleej Times and later confirmed by an Amer center representative. An official notice obtained by the publication stated that the passport cover page must be attached to all entry permit applications without exception.
Under the revised rules, visa applicants are now required to provide:
A copy of the passport bio-data page
A clear passport-size photograph
Hotel booking confirmation
A confirmed round-trip ticket
The external cover page of the passport
While the exact reason for this new amendment has not yet been disclosed, travel consultants suggest that it could be linked to enhanced verification and security measures.
This requirement applies immediately to all new applications and will affect both tourist and work entry permits. Applicants are advised to double-check their submissions to avoid delays or rejections under the updated policy.
