Pakistan and Sudan have signed an agreement that will allow holders of valid official and diplomatic passports from both countries to travel without visas, according to officials. The deal was signed by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Sudanese Interior Minister Lieutenant General Babiker Samra Mustafa Ali.
Under the arrangement, citizens of Pakistan and Sudan carrying valid official or diplomatic passports will be granted visa-free entry when travelling between the two countries. Both ministers described the agreement as an important step toward deepening bilateral relations and making high-level exchanges easier.
The agreement is expected to simplify official visits and the movement of government delegations, while opening new avenues for cooperation between institutions in the two countries. Officials said the arrangement would reduce administrative hurdles for diplomats and public officials travelling on state business.
Sudan's interior minister said the agreement would further strengthen friendly relations and cooperation between the two nations. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral ties and enhancing collaboration across areas of mutual interest.
The signing adds to Pakistan's recent efforts to broaden its diplomatic and administrative links with partner countries through simplified travel arrangements for officials. Further details on implementation timelines were not immediately announced.
