The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast predominantly dry weather across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours. However, the northern regions are expected to remain partly cloudy and cold, with light rain and snowfall predicted in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

In Islamabad, dry weather is expected, with cool conditions persisting in the morning and at night. Light rain is forecast for Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, and Kurram, while Dera Ismail Khan and Lakki Marwat may experience light rain during the night. Murree and Galyat will stay partly cloudy with cold weather in the morning and at night.

Fog and smog are likely to affect visibility in the morning across Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, and Sialkot. In Balochistan, northern areas will experience cold weather, with light rain expected in Quetta, Chaman, Pishin, and Zhob. Most of Sindh will remain dry, but southern districts may face hot weather during the day.

Karachi continues to experience hot conditions today; however, the Met Office has forecast an improvement after November 5 due to the influence of westerly winds. The PMD advises residents in affected areas to take necessary precautions, especially in regions expecting fog and smog, which can impact travel and health.

This weather pattern is typical for the season, with dry conditions dominating most of the country while the northern belt receives much-needed precipitation. The forecast snowfall in the mountains could be beneficial for water resources, but may also disrupt travel in high-altitude areas. Authorities are monitoring the situation and will issue updates as needed.
