Toddler Critically Injured After Electric Bus Hits Motorcycle in Islamabad's G-8/2
A two-year-old boy was seriously hurt when an electric bus collided with a motorcycle on Ibn-e-Sina Road in Islamabad, prompting angry bystanders to damage the vehicle as police detained the driver.

A two-year-old child sustained serious injuries after an electric bus collided with a motorcycle on Ibn-e-Sina Road in Islamabad's G-8/2 sector, police said. The accident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Karachi Company Police Station, according to officials.
The collision left the toddler in critical condition, and he was rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment, police added. The circumstances that led to the crash were not immediately detailed by authorities.
Shortly after the incident, people gathered at the scene became agitated and broke the windows of the electric bus, according to reports from the area. Police took the bus driver into custody and moved him to the police station for questioning.
Officials said further legal proceedings related to the accident are underway. No additional details about the driver or the child's current medical status were released.
The incident comes amid growing concern about road safety involving electric buses in the region. Recently, a schoolgirl was killed after a green electric bus ran her over outside Gelani Mart in Rawalpindi, a case that prompted angry residents to block the road and demand action.
In May, another green electric bus was involved in a collision near Mareer Chowk in Rawalpindi's Cantt area, which shattered the vehicle's windows although no passengers were injured. The recurring incidents have renewed questions about safety measures surrounding the expanding electric bus service.
