Xiaomi Launches Mijia Smart Waist Massager 2 with Dual Heating and App Controls

Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Smart Waist Massager 2 in China, a wearable device designed to provide relief for back and abdominal muscles. The massager is available through Xiaomi's Youpin crowdfunding platform at approximately $56, with a recommended retail price of around $74.

The new model builds on its predecessor by doubling the number of massage heads from two to four. These heads cover an area of 46,500 mm² and support two massage techniques: kneading and acupressure. One pair of heads performs broader kneading movements, while the other applies focused pressure, with the acupressure heads extending 8mm outward to reach deeper muscle areas. This allows simultaneous massage of the lower back and upper hips.

A key feature is the dual-sided heating system, which offers three adjustable temperature settings. The front side warms the lower back across a 15,000 mm² area, while the reverse side can be used to warm the abdomen. The device operates quietly at 50dB(A) or lower and is available in Light Sand and Dark Gray color options.

The cushion is made from slow-rebound memory foam and skin-friendly fabric, and it can serve as a regular lumbar support when the massage function is turned off. Connectivity is provided through the Mi Home app, which lets users choose from seven preset massage modes, create three custom modes, adjust heating temperature, and set session durations between 2 and 30 minutes. For those who prefer not to use a smartphone, physical buttons are included on the side of the device.

The Mijia Smart Waist Massager 2 also features a larger battery than its predecessor, though specific capacity details were not disclosed. This launch follows Xiaomi's pattern of expanding its smart home and wellness product lineup through crowdfunding, offering consumers affordable yet feature-rich devices.
