Xiaomi Launches Redmi M100 Pro in China with Familiar Specs and $350 Price Tag
Xiaomi has quietly unveiled the Redmi M100 Pro in China, featuring a 120Hz OLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset, and a 5,500mAh battery, priced at around $350.

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi M100 Pro in China without much fanfare, adding another mid-range smartphone to its portfolio. The device boasts a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2712 x 1220 resolution, and is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7300-Ultra processor. It comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and is priced at approximately $350.
The Redmi M100 Pro shares many specifications with the Redmi Note 14 Pro that launched internationally in 2024, suggesting Xiaomi is reusing components to offer a familiar experience. The display supports up to 3,000 nits peak brightness in small areas and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It also features 1,920Hz PWM dimming to reduce flicker at low brightness levels, a detail that may appeal to users sensitive to screen flicker.
In terms of build, the phone weighs around 190 grams and measures 8.2mm thick, with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Xiaomi is offering the device in Black, White, Cyan, and Purple, with the Purple variant featuring a leather-like finish on the back. The phone runs Xiaomi's HyperOS operating system out of the box.
The camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor, though Xiaomi has not disclosed full details of the other lenses. The 5,500mAh battery is a notable feature, promising extended usage, but charging speed was not specified in the announcement. The device uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, which are older standards compared to newer mid-range phones but help keep costs down.
The Redmi M100 Pro is currently listed only in China, and there is no word yet on international availability. Given the similarities to the Redmi Note 14 Pro, it may remain a China-exclusive model or launch under a different name in other markets. Xiaomi's strategy of introducing multiple variants with overlapping specs is common in the competitive Chinese market, where the company faces strong competition from brands like Realme and Honor.
For consumers, the Redmi M100 Pro offers a balanced package with a high-refresh-rate display, a capable chipset, and a large battery at a mid-range price. However, the use of older RAM and storage standards might be a drawback for power users. The phone's IP68 rating and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection are premium features rarely seen at this price point, making it an attractive option for those seeking durability.
