IESCO Announces Power Shutdowns Across 181 Feeders in Five Cities on November 2
IESCO has scheduled maintenance outages on 181 11kV feeders across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum on Monday, November 2, with most disruptions running from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced planned power shutdowns affecting 181 11kV feeders across five cities on Monday, November 2. The outages are largely tied to annual maintenance of feeders, construction and development work, and servicing of power transformers at grid stations.
According to the schedule issued by the utility, supply will mostly remain suspended from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Six feeders connected to the 132kV Lakar Mar grid station in Attock will stay off until 3:00 PM. Separately, maintenance on the 132kV Mangla-Old Rawat and Lakar Mar-Tamman transmission lines is set to run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, though no grid station will be affected by that work.
In Islamabad, the affected areas include sectors E-7, F-7, F-8, G-6, G-9, G-11, I-8 and I-10, along with Bara Kahu and Kotli Sattian. In Rawalpindi City, feeders in the Satellite Town, Rawalpindi City and Westridge divisions will be shut down. For Rawalpindi Cantt, outages cover the Rawalpindi Cantt, Tariqabad, Rawat and Mandra divisions, with feeders on the 132kV Korang grid station also going off for transformer maintenance.
In Attock, disruptions are scheduled in the Taxila, Attock and Pindi Gheb divisions. In Chakwal, feeders in the Chakwal, Dhudial, Pind Dadan Khan and Talagang divisions will be affected, along with feeders on the 132kV Chakwal grid station. In Jhelum, outages are planned in the Jhelum-I, Jhelum-II and Gujar Khan divisions.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to plan around the announced timings, as supply is expected to be restored once the maintenance work is completed. IESCO regularly carries out such scheduled outages to upgrade infrastructure and reduce the risk of unplanned failures on its distribution network.
