Pakistan's First Locally Assembled Electric SUV, JAECOO J5 BEV, Launched at PKR 5,999,000
Nishat Group's NexGen Auto has introduced the JAECOO J5 BEV, Pakistan's first locally assembled electric SUV, with ex-factory prices starting at PKR 5,999,000 and bookings now open across dealerships.

Nishat Group's NexGen Auto has officially announced the pricing of the all-electric JAECOO J5 BEV in Pakistan, a launch the company describes as a major step for the country's automotive manufacturing sector. The vehicle is being positioned as Pakistan's first locally assembled electric SUV.
The JAECOO J5 BEV will be offered in two variants. The Comfort trim carries an ex-factory price of PKR 5,999,000 with a booking amount of PKR 1,200,000, while the Premium trim is priced at PKR 6,699,000 with a booking amount of PKR 1,500,000. Both figures are introductory prices that remain valid until 30 November 2026, according to the company.
Both variants share a 49.5 kWh battery pack that delivers a driving range of up to 405 km on the NEDC cycle on a single charge. NexGen Auto said buyers will also receive a complimentary 11 kW home charger as well as a spare tyre, an unusual inclusion for an electric vehicle that the company says was added with customer peace of mind in mind.
The local assembly of a fully electric SUV marks a notable expansion of Pakistan's electric vehicle ecosystem and reflects a broader shift toward electric mobility in the domestic market. It also builds on Nishat Group's continued investment in the country's automotive sector through its subsidiary NexGen Auto.
According to the company, the JAECOO J5 HEV and JAECOO J7 PHEV have together surpassed 15,000 locally assembled units. NexGen Auto brought the OMODA and JAECOO brands to Pakistan in August 2025, offering a new generation of SUVs, hybrid vehicles and fully electric models. Customers can book the JAECOO J5 BEV at their nearest OMODA and JAECOO dealership.
