MG has officially launched its first-ever pickup truck in Pakistan, the all-new U9, signaling a major expansion for the brand beyond its traditional focus on electric and hybrid vehicles. This launch positions Pakistan as the second country globally, after Australia, to receive the U9, highlighting MG’s confidence in the growing demand for versatile pickup trucks in the local market.
The MG U9 is powered by a robust 2.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 215 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque. It comes equipped with a 4×4 drivetrain, a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, and an impressive towing capacity of 3,500 kg, making it well-suited for both commercial and recreational use. This combination of power and performance ensures the U9 can handle tough terrains, heavy loads, and demanding driving conditions with ease.
The interior of the MG U9 blends comfort, technology, and safety. It features heated and ventilated electric seats for both driver and passengers, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, premium JBL speakers, and a panoramic sunroof, offering a modern and luxurious cabin experience. Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) further enhance safety, providing features designed to prevent accidents and make driving more convenient.
With the U9, MG aims to compete in Pakistan’s growing pickup truck segment by offering a vehicle that combines rugged utility with premium comfort and advanced technology. This launch not only broadens MG’s product portfolio but also gives Pakistani consumers a new choice for a powerful, stylish, and capable pickup truck.
