Bank Alfalah, one of Pakistan’s leading commercial banks and a four-time winner of the Pakistan Banking Awards for digital excellence, has introduced ‘Alfa Business – Merchants Payment Solutions’, a new platform designed to accelerate the shift from cash to digital payments across the country.
The initiative aims to digitise millions of merchants by offering an integrated ecosystem where businesses of all sizes can manage daily transactions digitally. Through Alfa Business, merchants gain access to digital payment acceptance, real-time sales monitoring for settled and unsettled transactions, automated receipt generation, invoicing, digital bookkeeping (khatas), instant Raast QR issuance, and access to finance — all within a single platform.
To support this transition, Bank Alfalah has established Digital Payment Centres in major commercial hubs across Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. These centres serve as walk-in facilitation points where merchants can adopt digital tools, ensure smooth cash flow, and access secure and reliable financial services.
Commenting on the launch, Muhammad Yahya Khan, Chief Digital Officer at Bank Alfalah, said:
“Pakistan’s economic potential depends on digitising commerce at the grassroots level. Our Alfa Business Merchant Payment Solutions put secure and simple financial tools in the hands of merchants, helping them shift from cash to cashless and enabling business growth.”
