Karachi’s Port Qasim has been recognized as the 9th most developed port globally by the World Bank, marking a significant milestone for Pakistan’s maritime sector. Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar, praised this accomplishment, attributing it to effective government reforms and the advanced operations at Qasim International Container Terminal. The modernization of port operations is expected to enhance Pakistan’s position as a regional shipping hub and increase investor confidence. Handling nearly 60% of the country’s maritime trade, Port Qasim continues to serve as a vital gateway for international commerce, playing a crucial role in boosting Pakistan’s trade and economic growth.
