The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People is being observed globally today, including in Pakistan, to highlight worldwide support for justice, dignity, and the right to self-determination for the Palestinian people.
Established in 1977, the observance commemorates the 1947 UN resolution on the partition of Palestine. Under UN General Assembly Resolution 60/37, countries are encouraged to promote awareness through cultural programs, educational initiatives, and public engagement, reinforcing global solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
