Ghandhara Industries Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with China’s Zhongtong Bus Holding Co. to introduce a new line of luxury buses in Pakistan, aiming to tap into the growing demand for high-end passenger transport in the country. Under this collaboration, Zhongtong’s buses will initially be imported as Completely Built-Up units, allowing Pakistani customers early access to fully assembled, premium buses featuring advanced design, comfort, and safety standards. Ghandhara plans to later establish local assembly operations, setting up a dedicated manufacturing line distinct from its existing bus fabrication facility. This move is expected to create new employment opportunities, enhance technological know-how, and support local supply chains in the automotive sector.
The company anticipates launching the imported luxury buses in early 2026, providing operators with modern, state-of-the-art vehicles suitable for corporate transport, intercity travel, and executive fleets. Local assembly is scheduled to begin by mid-2026 after completing the necessary regulatory approvals and expanding the plant infrastructure. The assembled buses are expected to offer competitive pricing while maintaining the high-quality standards associated with Zhongtong, making luxury buses more accessible to transport companies across Pakistan.
