Lahore Police accidentally revealed their use of ChatGPT for social media content after posting an update on X about a meeting with local religious scholars. The post, which included photos of officers and community members around a conference table, began with the line: “ChatGPT said:,” showing that the text had been copied directly from the AI without removing the prompt header.
The post remained publicly visible and unedited for over an hour, highlighting the minor slip-up. Aside from the AI attribution, the content itself was entirely routine, announcing a standard meeting. This incident reflects the growing reliance on AI tools like ChatGPT for drafting content, and it’s a reminder that even official organizations can overlook the small details when using AI-generated text.
While humorous, the mishap didn’t affect the actual message or the meeting itself, making it a minor social media gaffe rather than a serious issue.
