Applications are now open for the Taiwan ICDF Scholarship Programme for the academic year 2026-2027, offering a fully funded opportunity for talented students from Taiwan’s partner countries. This scholarship, organized by the International Cooperation & Development Fund (TaiwanICDF), enables high-achieving students to pursue undergraduate, master’s, or PhD degree programs at leading Taiwanese institutions.
The scholarship includes 32 specialized tracks taught entirely in English, making it accessible for international students. Programs cover a wide range of fields, including engineering and technology, agriculture, sustainable development, public health and medicine, business administration, environmental studies, and other areas that contribute to socio-economic growth. Participating institutions aim to attract global talent and foster skills that support the sustainable development of students’ home countries.
The scholarship provides full tuition coverage, registration fee waiver, a monthly living allowance, round-trip economy class airfare to Taiwan, on-campus accommodation, health insurance, and allowances for textbooks and stationery. Bachelor’s programs are offered for four years, master’s degrees for one to two years, and PhD programs for up to four years.
Applicants must be nationals of Taiwan’s partner countries, meet the admission requirements of their chosen institution, and hold the necessary academic qualifications for the level of study. English proficiency is required unless the applicant has graduated from an English-taught institution, and applicants must meet health requirements and not hold any other scholarship.
The application process requires submission of a completed online application form, passport or identity card, academic transcripts, degree certificates, English proficiency proof if applicable, two recommendation letters, and proof of university admission application. Applications must be submitted online via the TaiwanICDF system and then sent with supporting documents to the nearest Taiwan Embassy or representative office. Applicants must also separately apply to their chosen program at a participating institution.
The application period is open from December 1, 2025, to March 15, 2026. This scholarship provides an exceptional opportunity for students seeking international exposure and advanced education in Taiwan while contributing to the development of their home countries.
