The Sindh government has approved a major project to install more than 600 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the province, marking a significant step toward promoting sustainable and eco-friendly transportation. The approval was granted to China’s ADM Group during a meeting with Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Sindh’s Local Government Minister, who emphasized that the initiative aligns with the province’s objectives to reduce carbon emissions and advance sustainable development.

Following the approval, the project will be forwarded to the Special Secretary of the Local Government & Highways & Transport Department for further implementation. A follow-up meeting with the CEO of ADM Group is expected in early December to finalize the operational framework and initiate execution.

Once completed, the network of EV charging stations is expected to play a crucial role in transforming Sindh’s transport sector, supporting the adoption of electric vehicles, and contributing significantly to the province’s environmental goals by promoting cleaner mobility and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
