A robbery was reported in Karachi’s Bahadurabad area after two newly hired domestic workers allegedly stole a large quantity of gold and fled the house, according to a police report cited by a local television channel. Police registered a first information report at Bahadurabad Police Station on the complaint of Ahmad Yousuf Bambia, a construction company owner residing in Muhammad Ali Society.

In his statement, Bambia said he hired two women, identified as Nadia and Dilshad, on January 5 based on a reference provided by the building’s watchman, who described them as sisters-in-law and trustworthy. The complainant stated that both women arrived for work on January 7 at around 1:45 pm and left the house at approximately 6 pm. Shortly after their departure, family members returned home from visiting relatives and noticed that the domestic workers were missing.

Bambia further said that his wife found jewelry boxes scattered across the floor and discovered that the cupboard lock had been broken. Upon checking, the family confirmed that several gold items were missing, including jewelry sets, bangles, rings, and karas. The total value of the stolen gold reportedly exceeded 100 tolas.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to trace and arrest the suspects, while efforts are underway to identify their whereabouts and determine whether any accomplices were involved.
