A total of 47 researchers from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) have been recognized among the world’s top 2% scientists for 2025, according to the prestigious Stanford University and Elsevier global rankings. The ranking highlights scholars with the most significant research impact across various scientific disciplines, reflecting NUST’s rising prominence in global academia. The number of NUST researchers included in the list has more than doubled over the past three years, increasing from 23 in 2022 to 47 in 2025. This consistent upward trend underscores the university’s expanding influence in innovation, scientific research, and technology development. Notably, 26 of these scientists have retained their positions for multiple consecutive years, demonstrating the university’s sustained commitment to academic excellence and impactful research. NUST’s strong research and development ecosystem, coupled with its focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, has played a key role in achieving this milestone. Globally ranked 371st and 67th in Asia, NUST continues to lead as Pakistan’s premier research-driven institution, advancing knowledge and innovation that contribute to both national progress and international scientific recognition.
