Dubai is set to add another architectural marvel to its skyline with the launch of the Duma Dubai Museum of Art — a floating museum that will rest gracefully on the waters of Dubai Creek. Announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the project represents Dubai’s ongoing commitment to fostering creativity, celebrating art, and strengthening its position as a global cultural hub.

The Duma Museum of Art will be designed by world-renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando, known for his minimalist yet striking designs that harmonize natural elements with modern architecture. The museum’s floating structure will symbolize innovation and the fusion of art, architecture, and technology, aligning perfectly with Dubai’s vision of sustainable and future-focused development.

Sheikh Mohammed lauded the contributions of Abdullah Al Futtaim and Omar Al Futtaim, whose collaboration and investment have been instrumental in bringing the project to life. He emphasized that the initiative highlights the essential role of the private sector in driving Dubai’s cultural and urban progress.

Reflecting the emirate’s commitment to blending creativity with modernity, the Duma Dubai Museum of Art will serve as both a visual masterpiece and a vibrant cultural destination. Positioned along Dubai Creek, it will not only enrich the city’s artistic landscape but also offer residents and visitors a unique experience that celebrates the intersection of tradition, innovation, and artistic expression.
