Dubai RTA Sells Rare BB12 Number Plate for AED 9.66 Million, Sets Record in 120th Auction

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) set a new record at its 120th open auction, where the exclusive number plate BB12 was sold for AED 9.66 million, approximately PKR 72 crore. This sale contributed to a total auction revenue of AED 109.03 million, or around PKR 813 crore, marking the highest earnings in RTA’s history of number plate auctions.

Other highly sought-after plates included AA25, sold for AED 8.04 million (PKR 60 crore), BB30 at AED 6.74 million (PKR 51 crore), and CC100 for AED 4.21 million (PKR 32 crore). The auction featured 90 distinctive plates with two- to five-digit combinations across various codes, highlighting the RTA’s commitment to transparency and providing equal opportunities for all participants.

These record-breaking sales reflect the growing demand for exclusive vehicle number plates in Dubai, where collectors and enthusiasts compete to own rare and prestigious identifiers that symbolize status and luxury.
