Pakistan Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu said the Pakistan Air Force has consistently acted as the country’s most reliable defensive shield, proving its operational strength and readiness during Operation Banyan-um-Marsūs. Addressing cadets at the PAF Academy Risalpur graduation parade, he highlighted that the PAF delivered a swift and accurate response during the May engagements, successfully downing advanced enemy aircraft and disabling key defense systems within minutes. He added that the world had closely observed Pakistan’s preparedness and capability during Marqa-e-Haq.
He stated that Operation Banyan-um-Marsūs demonstrated the PAF’s growing proficiency in modern, multi-domain warfare, including its expanding role in cyber operations. According to him, the Air Force possessed the ability to inflict significantly greater damage but exercised strategic restraint, choosing professionalism over escalation.
The air chief emphasized that every move by the PAF was deliberate and measured, aimed at maintaining national security while pursuing peace with dignity rather than prolonging or intensifying the conflict.
