Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has laid the foundation stone of the Autism Center of Excellence in Islamabad, a facility designed to support the training, development, and well-being of children with special needs. The center aims to provide high-quality care, professional guidance, and equal opportunities for children on the autism spectrum.

During the ceremony, the prime minister announced the provision of 15 vehicles to support the center’s daily operations and directed authorities to complete construction within one year, shortening the original two-year timeline to ensure faster access to services for families in need.

Highlighting the talents of children with special needs, Shehbaz Sharif shared inspiring examples, including a child who has created remarkable musical compositions and another who has spread love across the country through musical performances. He emphasized that such achievements demonstrate the immense potential of children when provided with proper guidance and support.

“Special children are the children of our nation. Their training and development are our collective responsibility. Anyone who contributes to this cause will be rewarded in both this world and the hereafter,” the prime minister said. He commended the efforts of individuals and organizations involved in the project, stressing that supporting and mentoring special children is a shared national duty.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was briefed on the project’s progress and met with children currently enrolled at the center, underscoring his commitment to promoting inclusive education and specialized care for children with autism.
