Samsung has unveiled an upgraded version of its Freestyle portable projector for 2026, introducing the new Freestyle+ ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show. The latest model delivers a significant performance boost with double the brightness of the previous generation, reaching up to 430 ISO lumens, and introduces advanced AI-powered screen optimization features designed to improve image quality and ease of use.

Like earlier Freestyle projectors, the Freestyle+ supports 180-degree rotation and delivers 360-degree audio for flexible placement and immersive sound. The new model also adds support for Samsung’s Q-Symphony technology, allowing the projector to work seamlessly with compatible Samsung soundbars for enhanced audio output. While Samsung has not yet released full technical specifications or pricing details, the company confirmed that the Freestyle+ will be officially showcased at CES 2026.

The Freestyle+ builds on existing automatic functions such as auto focus and auto leveling by integrating artificial intelligence to further enhance projection accuracy. Samsung’s new AI OptiScreen technology introduces 3D auto keystone correction, enabling the projector to adjust image distortion on uneven or irregular surfaces. The system also offers real-time focus adjustments when the device is moved, automatic screen fitting when used with compatible accessories, and wall calibration technology aimed at minimizing visual distractions caused by surface textures or colors. In addition, the projector will support Samsung’s Vision AI Companion to further optimize viewing performance.

Samsung has not confirmed an exact release date for the Freestyle+ but stated that the projector is expected to launch in the first half of the year, with availability expanding gradually across international markets. CES 2026 will take place in Las Vegas from January 6 to January 9, where Samsung is expected to share more detailed information about the Freestyle+ and its full feature set.
