NADRA has announced the launch of its sixth mega centre in Karachi, located in the Malir district, aiming to ease pressure on existing facilities and improve service delivery for residents. The new registration centre will be set up on a half-acre site in Model Colony, following a memorandum of understanding signed between NADRA and the Model Colony Town Municipal Corporation (TMC).
Model Town Chairman Zafar Ahmed Khan confirmed that the land has been allocated for the project, which is expected to become operational within eight months. The centre will provide key services, including CNIC issuance, B-Form processing, arms licences, and other essential documentation, catering to the growing demand for NADRA services in Karachi.
NADRA Regional Head Office Director General Aamir Ali Khan described the new centre as a significant step toward enhancing civic amenities and streamlining citizen services. He highlighted that while advancements in technology and artificial intelligence have greatly improved service efficiency, they have also introduced risks related to cybercrime. He assured that NADRA has implemented robust security measures and modern safeguards to protect sensitive citizen data against potential threats or breaches.
Once fully functional, this facility will be Nadra’s sixth major centre in Karachi, expected to significantly reduce wait times and provide faster, more efficient registration services to residents across the city.
