Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated the province’s first Mobile Police Station and Licensing Unit Project, introducing a modern, citizen-focused approach to public safety and service delivery. This initiative aims to make essential police and administrative services more accessible, particularly for residents in remote and underserved areas.

Through the new system, citizens will be able to register FIRs, obtain or renew driving licenses, and access women-specific facilities without needing to visit traditional police stations. A fleet of 33 mobile units, including seven dedicated “Pink” stations operated by female officers, will travel across Punjab to ensure inclusivity, safety, and convenience for all communities.

The Chief Minister highlighted that this project reflects a shift toward compassionate, transparent, and responsive governance. By integrating technology with community engagement, the Mobile Police Station Project represents a significant advancement in Punjab’s efforts to modernize policing, promote gender-sensitive service delivery, and strengthen public trust in law enforcement.
