Punjab Police Approves Higher Stipends for Special Children of Employees

Punjab Police has approved a significant increase in monthly stipends for the special children of its employees as part of its ongoing welfare initiatives. The stipend for children suffering from thalassemia has been doubled from Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000 per month, while the monthly allowance for children with cerebral palsy has increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000. In addition, children diagnosed with autism will now receive a monthly stipend of Rs 10,000.

Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, emphasized that the police force operates like a family, and the welfare of employees and their families is a top priority. He also noted that Punjab Police currently allocates approximately Rs 220 million daily to welfare-related programs.

The decision underscores the department’s commitment to supporting its workforce and addressing the special needs of employees’ families, ensuring that children with health challenges receive adequate financial assistance.
