The Sindh government has announced that all public and private educational institutions across the province will remain closed on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in observance of Shab-e-Barat. The School Education and Literacy Department issued the official notification on January 30, 2026.
The closure applies to all schools operating under the administrative control of the School Education and Literacy Department, and relevant authorities have been directed to ensure the decision is properly implemented and communicated to all educational institutions across Sindh. Shab-e-Barat, observed on the 15th of Shaban, is a significant religious occasion for Muslims, marked by prayers and other religious activities throughout the night.
