Pakistan Customs recovered 1,185 grams of gold jewelry along with a commercial quantity of cosmetics, perfumes, and handbags from a passenger arriving from the United States at the International Arrivals lounge of Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. According to the Federal Board of Revenue, the seized items are valued at approximately 58 million rupees. The goods have been taken into custody, and a first information report has been registered under the Customs Act, 1969.
The FBR emphasized its commitment to curbing smuggling and strictly enforcing customs regulations at all entry points across the country. Authorities noted that vigilance at airports and other points of entry has been heightened as part of ongoing measures to prevent the illegal movement of goods and safeguard national revenue.
