The Federal Board of Revenue has intensified efforts to recover 26 billion rupees in outstanding taxes from Bahria Town, issuing a public notice to address the matter. The FBR previously seized the Bahria Town Tower in Karachi on October 7, taking custody of relevant records and assets, including 145 residential units, 42 offices, and 103 shops.
The tax authority has imposed a ban on the sale, transfer, or disposal of the seized properties without prior approval. Any objections or claims related to the assets can be submitted to the Large Taxpayer Office in Islamabad in accordance with the law. This action is part of the FBR’s ongoing measures to enforce compliance and recover dues from large taxpayers, highlighting the authority’s focus on strict enforcement and protection of national revenue.
